Impetus is the youth award programme of the Institute for Global Ethics UK Trust that recognizes and celebrates the work of young people in bringing to life human rights and the shared ethical values that underpin them.

To achieve an Impetus award, young people have designed and carried out a project that explores and applies human rights to an issue of importance to them. The projects are youth led and motivated by the interests and concerns of children and young people themselves.

Showcase 2008!

The awards have now closed for the 07/08 cycle.  Well done to all the groups who submitted projects and congratulation to the seven groups selected to attend the 2008  Showcase at the Magic Circle Headquarters in Euston on October 7th.

This event should be an exciting and inspiring showcase of diverse projects from across the UK.  It is an opportunity to celebrate the hard work and successes of young people in promoting human rights and shared ethical values in their communities.
